Amnesty International-Sweden in support of #FreeBehnam

Behnam Ebrahimzadeh has been transferred from ward 209 Evin prison to the quarantine section of Gohardash prison on 16 February 2015. Behnam’s family has not been given permission to visit Behnam or speak with him on the phone. Transferring Behnam to the quarantine section has raised more concern in regards to his wellbeing and his condition.

Behnam Ebrahimzadeh is a labour activist. He was arrested in June 2010 in Tehran-Iran and was already serving 4th years of his 5 years sentenced when He was sentenced to another 9 and a half years in prison on 29th December 2014. His lawyer was not allowed to attend the trial. He has continuously been under physical and psychological torture while Behnam’s only child is undergoing treatment for Leukaemia (Blood Cancer). Behnam suffers from various ailments such as kidney pain, bleeding gums, neck and back injuries due to extended periods of torture followed by no medical intervention. Behnam went on hunger strike several times and as a result suffered from intestinal bleeding. Behnam and his family are in need of urgent support.

Amnesty International-Sweden has recently launched a campaign in his support and asked everyone to sign the protest letter on their website. Please see the link below:
